1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Rate My Ref ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Users between 13 and 17 may use the Service with parental or guardian consent. Users under 13 are not permitted to use the Service.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to update it as needed.
4. Reviews & Ratings
When submitting reviews, you agree to:
- Provide honest, factual, and constructive feedback
- Base ratings on your direct experience with the referee during a game
- Not submit fake, defamatory, or misleading reviews
- Not use reviews to harass, bully, or intimidate officials
All reviews are subject to a 24-hour cooling-off period before publication. Rate My Ref reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines.
5. Booking Services
Rate My Ref facilitates booking requests between users and referees. Submitting a booking request does not guarantee acceptance. Referees may accept or decline requests at their discretion. Rate My Ref is not a party to any agreement between users and referees.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Create multiple accounts to manipulate ratings
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Submit reviews for games you did not attend
- Use the Service for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or referees
7. Content Ownership
You retain ownership of the content you submit (reviews, ratings, profile information). By submitting content, you grant Rate My Ref a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with the Service.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Rate My Ref does not verify the accuracy of reviews, endorse any referee, or guarantee the quality of officiating. We are not responsible for any disputes between users and referees.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rate My Ref shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
